Crisp County SGA Set to Host Mardi Gras Themed Event
South Georgia Technical College’s Student Government Association (SGA) Crisp County chapter is sponsoring a Mardi Gras themed student activity on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon in the LaPorte Auditorium on the Crisp County Center campus. All registered students will receive a door prize and a free lunch provided by the Culinary Arts department.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to win up to $50 in SGTC Bookstore Bucks by playing “Name That Tune Trivia with Ross and Jimmy.” Students will test their music knowledge across all genres to find out if they can name the song. The game will feature a live DJ and dancing between trivia rounds. The top three winning teams will receive $50, $25 and $15 in SGTC Bookstore Bucks.
Students are encouraged to wear purple, green and gold to match the event’s theme. A group picture will be taken of all students who dress out following the event.
The Student Government Association consists of a representative from each program. From the representatives, five officers are selected and serve a one-year term. The SGA meets the first Wednesday of every month to approve expenditures of student activity fees, coordinate activities, and address issues of concerns to students.
SGTC’s student clubs organize several fun events for students each month.
