Move ahead with Adult Ed at SGTC!

Earning your High School Equivalency (HSE) at South Georgia Technical College is a great way to get on the path to a great career and brighter future.

Minh Nguyen moved his family from Vietnam to the United States 16 years ago in order to provide better educational opportunities for his two children. After both his son and daughter graduated from Yale and moved on to establish their own careers, Minh decided it was time to pursue his own goals.

He enrolled in the Adult Education program and earned recognition as SGTC’s EAGLE (Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education) student on the way to earning his HSE. Minh also enrolled in SGTC’s ESL courses to improve his English.

He continued his education in the Electronics Technology and Electrical Systems Technology diploma programs at South Georgia Tech. For his academic performance, he earned a Foundation Scholarship and graduated with highest honors.

After multiple interviews and job offers with major companies, Minh Nguyen accepted a position with Dematic, an intralogistics company. In his new career, Minh travels the United States setting up distribution systems for a variety of companies.
