Elizabeth Brooks Wisham named Grants Coordinator at South Georgia Tech
Elizabeth (Beth) Brooks Wisham of Americus has been selected as the South Georgia Technical College Grants Coordinator and will be located on the Americus campus, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. Her appointment is effective immediately and she will be reporting to Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers. This is a grant funded position.
As the SGTC Grants Coordinator, Wisham will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring certain federal and/or state grants as well as the administrative reporting and tracking documentation related to grants and Institutional Effectiveness reporting.
Wisham has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southwestern State University and a Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University. She has been employed as a High School Initiatives Specialist at South Georgia Technical College since January of 2016.
As the SGTC High School Initiative Specialist, Wisham maintained and organized numerous office files and ensured accuracy for audit purposes; admitted and registered all eligible dual enrollment students as well as monitored course progress; administered Accuplacer placement exams; and planned and attended recruitment events such as PROBE fairs and college nights. She also assisted students with financial aid applications and processed dual enrollment financial aid applications.
She is married to Ben Wisham of Americus and is the daughter of Mark and Angie Brooks.
