SGTC to close Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, 2025 due to anticipated inclement weather

    South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford announced today that South Georgia Technical College will be closed Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025 due to the anticipated inclement weather.

   “The weather service is predicting that most of Georgia and our seven-county service area will experience freezing temperatures and possible snow and ice on Tuesday and Wednesday,” said SGTC President Dr. Watford.  “The safety of our students, faculty and staff is of upmost importance.  With that in mind, we have decided to close the school on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I urge everyone to staff safe and stay off the roads if possible.”

   Classes are expected to resume on Thursday, January 23^rd, weather permitting.
