Wayne Peck named Agricultural Technology instructor at South Georgia Tech
Eddie Wayne Peck of Cuthbert has joined the South Georgia Technical College staff as an Agricultural Technology instructor for the John Deere TECH program on the Americus campus, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be reporting to Vice President for Academic Affairs David Kuipers. Peck will join SGTC Agricultural Technology Instructor Matthew Burks, who is also working as an instructor in the John Deere TECH program at SGTC. As an Agricultural Technology instructor, Peck will be providing all teaching duties of the Agricultural Technology program courses and ag-tech equipment education training for the John Deere Dealers of Georgia, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina and other states as needed. He has been working as the Diesel Equipment Technology program chair for Albany Technical College since 2007. He also worked as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic for the United States Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany as well as the farm manager and general equipment mechanic for J.F. Peck and Son, Inc. in Cuthbert, GA. Peck has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University as well as a Diesel Equipment Technology, Heavy Duty Truck & Heavy Equipment diploma from Albany Technical College. He is also certified in Hazardous Materials Handling, Fort Lift Operator, Commercial Pesticide Application, and as an Overhead Crane Operator
