Kadeem Williams named Student Affairs Assistant at South Georgia Tech
Kadeem Williams of Americus is joining South Georgia Technical College as a Student Affairs Assistant in the Student Affairs office, announced SGTC President Dr. John Watford recently. His office will be located on the Americus campus. He will report to SGTC Vice President of Student Affairs Eulish Kinchens and Admissions Director Candie Walters.
Williams has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor focus in Sociology from Georgia Southwestern State University and has over three years of experience in higher education as an administrative assistant in admissions and human resources.
Prior to joining South Georgia Technical College, Williams worked at Albany State University as an Human Resources Assistant. He also worked as an Admissions Assistant at Albany Technical College and as an HR Assistant for Georgia Southwestern State University.
As a Student Affairs Assistant at South Georgia Technical College, Williams will be providing administrative duties in the admissions office including customer service functions and preparing new student applications and assisting prospective students with admissions and readmissions processes. He will also assist with recruiting and marketing activities, graduation and registration as well as coordinate individual campus visits and assist with group tours as needed while also assisting faculty with student issues impacting registrations, advisement, and academics.
In college, Williams served as a Resident Life Assistant and was a student worker in the Office of Disability Services at GSW.
Williams is married to Shalisha Williams and they have two children; Ryleigh Williams and Kadeem Williams Jr.
