Lisa Truitt hired as GED Chief Examiner at South Georgia Technical College
Lisa Truitt of Americus has been hired as the GED Chief Examiner for South Georgia Technical College, announced SGTC President Dr. John Watford recently. As chief examiner, Truitt will report to Dean of Adult Education Lillie Ann Winn and Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers.
Truitt brings over 30 years of relevant experience to the college. She comes to SGTC from Macon County High School, where she worked for 19 years as the principal’s administrative assistant and school bookkeeper. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University and an Associate of Arts degree in Music from Gordon Junior College.
“I am excited to have Lisa Truitt join the adult education staff,” said SGTC Dean of Adult Education Lillie Ann Winn. “She brings a wealth of experience working with students and I believe that she will be an asset as our GED Chief Examiner.”
In her new role, Truitt will have duties related to registering examinees for the GED testing sessions, counseling test-takers and recommend adult education classes, working with adult education instructors to plan training calendars, and more.
