SGTC Driver’s Ed students pose with American Idol winner Phillip Phillips
South Georgia Technical College Driver’s Education students got more than they signed up for in their Driver’s Education classes this summer. Three young ladies had the opportunity to meet and pose with American Idol 2012 winner Phillip Phillips from Leesburg during one of the SGTC Driver’s Education program’s required driving trips.
Preslee Owen of Americus and Haneae Colquitt of Ellaville were driving with SGTC Driver’s Education instructor Dan McGowan recently when they stopped at Chick Fil A in Leesburg for a quick break. Phillip Phillips, the Season 11 American Idol winner from 2012, who is from Leesburg happened to be in the restaurant at the same time. He very graciously posed for a photo with the South Georgia Technical College Driver’s Education students and with another student, and Zoe Bell of Ellaville who was there.
