   South Georgia Technical College faculty, staff, students and ARAMARK employees honored the memory of long-time SGTC Cafeteria Director Shirley Trice with a memorial balloon release on Friday, October 4th on the SGTC campus outside of the Lonnie Sweat Cafeteria.

   Trice passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.  She had worked for Aramark for over 40 years and had been a part of the SGTC cafeteria for 25 years.

   A visitation time was held on September 28 and the public viewing was October 3. The Celebration of Life Ceremony for Shirley Ann Trice was held on Friday, October 4, at Union tabernacle Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia, with Pastor Larry B. Sims officiating.
