SGTC hires Ladaisha Rumph as new Adult Education Instructor
South Georgia Technical College has hired Ladaisha Rumph of Montezuma as an Adult Education instructor for SGTC’s Adult Education/GED department, announced SGTC President Dr. John Watford. She will be reporting to Vice President of Operations Karen Werling and SGTC Dean of Adult Education Tracy Israel.
In her new role with the South Georgia Tech Adult Education Department, Rumph will be responsible for providing instruction in academic areas (Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies) for High School Equavaliency (HSE) (GED/HiSET) preparation, intake, assessment, recruitment, retention, student recognition, counseling, staff development, and the achievement of the departmental goals and objectives.
South Georgia Technical College has consistently led the state in the number of students who transitioned into college after successfully completing their GED and Rumph will also be tasked with promoting adult education programs to public and private organizations and the general public.
Rumph has been working as a Child Development Teacher (lead Teacher) at Fort Valley State University since 2016. She has also worked as the Cooperative Extension Secretary worker/Child Development teacher assistant and as a secretary assistant at Macon County High School.
She has a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health as well as Bachelors of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Infant and Child Care Development from Fort Valley State University. She is also a graduate of Macon County High School.
Ladaisha and her husband, Earl, have two daughters, Braylee and Kenslee.
