South Georgia Technical College hosted an Open House on its Crisp County Center campus recently to showcase the many different educational programs available and to give the public the opportunity to talk with instructors and administrators.
South Georgia Tech is currently enrolling students for Fall Semester. Classes begin Monday, August 14th and there are over 200 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit programs for students to choose from. Students can apply, test, and enroll in one day. SGTC will hold a late orientation and registration day on Thursday, August 10th at 9:30 and 5 p.m. on the Crisp County Center campus but students can register and test early. It is not too late to apply for Fall Semester.
Students who have not filled out their FASFA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid, should go ahead and apply now online or visit the SGTC Financial Aid Office for assistance. Recent revisions for federal Pell Grant financial aid disbursements could mean a greater yearly award for South Georgia Technical College students who attend Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. For more information contact Kelly Everett in the Financial Aid Office on the Crisp County Center at keverett@southgatech.edu or call 229-271-4043 or contact the Americus Financial Aid Officer at 229-931-2319.
Students who signed up for fall semester during the open house received free t-shirts and there were also tours and free homemade ice cream to everyone who attended.
