SGTC hosts two-day workshop for TCI Powder Coatings group
South Georgia Technical College hosted a two-day Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions learning experience workshop for TCI Powder Coatings in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the Americus campus.
Dr. Tony Swaim, a professor at Kennesaw State University, facilitated the workshop which was coordinated through the South Georgia Technical College Economic Development office. SGTC Director of Business and Industry Paul Farr and Bob Stinchcum of the SGTC Economic Development office planned and supported the TCI learning experience.
During the two-day workshop, TCI employees focused on concepts and tools such as Fishbone Analysis, Flow charting with Swim Lanes, Affinity Diagrams and 5 Whys. The group divided into two teams during the second day of the workshop and used what they had learned in the opening sessions to analyze six issues the company had encountered.
