SGTC PBL win awards at Georgia Fall Leadership Conference
South Georgia Technical College’s (SGTC) Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapters recently participated in competitive events at the Georgia Fall Leadership in Stone Mountain and earned two first place awards, one second place award, and one fourth place award. Both the Americus campus chapter of PBL and the Crisp County Center chapter participated in the conference.
The Americus campus chapter won first place in Chapter Preparation, and Linda Kent of Montezuma earned first place for her Business Essay event. PBL President for the Americus campus chapter of PBL Racarda Blackmon of Americus earned second place in iPhoto competition, and Kimberly Jackson of Americus, Vice President of Community Service and Public Relations for the Americus campus PBL chapter, finished fourth in Business Essay.
Other participants at the conference included Ashley Halstead of Ellaville, Vice President of Membership and Recruitment for the Americus chapter; Alicia English of Americus, Vice President of FBLA Interactions and Special Projects for the Americus chapter; Lisa Ray of Sylvester, Vice President of the Crisp County Center chapter; Christian Powell of Cordele, Parliamentarian for the Crisp County Center chapter; D.W. Persall of Cordele, President for the Crisp County Center chapter; and Mykaula Harvey of Cordele, Secretary for the Crisp County Center chapter.
