SGTC’s Honor Society starts Penny Wars to raise funds

South Georgia Technical College’s Nation Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on the SGTC’s Americus campus is having a Penny War fundraiser starting in February and continuing through April 1st.

NTHS’s Penny War is a fundraiser activity that allows any SGTC program or department to collect rolled pennies. All of the collected funds will support the NTHS members as they participate in conferences and competitions this academic school year. The department or program with the most rolled pennies will receive a certificate of recognition of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.

The National Technical Honor Society honors the achievements of students within workforce education, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive workforce.
