South Georgia Tech to hold Spring Registration Date on Thursday

South Georgia Technical College will hold a Spring semester registration event on Thursday, Nov. 29 for new and returning students on both campuses. Orientation sessions will be held for new students at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the Americus campus and at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the Cordele campus to accommodate for different schedules.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to meet with their advisor, register for classes, attend an orientation session, have an SGTC ID card made and receive help with their financial aid.

Individuals who are interested in applying to the college are also encouraged to attend the event and take advantage of SGTC’s one-stop admissions process, which allows students to apply, enroll and register in the same day. The admissions office will be on hand and will waive the $25 application fee for any applicants on the day of registration.

For more information about the registration event, contact the admissions office at 229-931-2760 (Americus) or 229-271-4051 (Cordele). The next registration date will be held on Jan. 7, just two days before the semester begins.

Students registering on the Americus campus are reminded that due to Odom Center renovations, the financial aid, foundation, admissions and registrars offices are located on the second floor of the building.

South Georgia Tech offers over 200 associate degree, diploma and technical certificate of credit programs.

  • New students who have not applied for admission yet must visit the admissions office before attending an orientation session.
  • New student orientation will be held in the Hicks Hall Student Center Building – Room 124.
  • Times: 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please check in 30 minutes prior to your orientation session.

Crisp County Campus, Cordele —   

  • New students who have not applied for admission yet must visit the admissions office before attending an orientation session.
